“I’ll have to penalize you for that one, Trevor,” the coach
said. “No matter how just the action, I can’t let it pass.”
Trevor expected the penalty, but he couldn’t let what
Johnson did go unpunished.
Johnson was always picking on Brian, Trevor’s cousin, who
happened to be gay. Earlier, Brian had stood up after a particularly hard hit
and rubbed his backside. Johnson yelled, “guess your boyfriend was a little too
rough last night,” and doubled over laughing. It was the final straw for
Trevor.
He rushed over to Johnson and kicked him square in his
generous ass, knocking the larger boy head over tails. Trevor thought the small
smile on Brian’s face was more than worth any penalty the coach dished out.
